Welcome to Poetry Mine, the website behind the book of the same name.

There are two new sections: one on writing poetry for beginners: Writing a Poem and the other on reading poetry for the first time: Reading Poetry.

Both these pages request your response to what is written but I am particularly interested to hear of one of your favourite poems and why you chose it. A recent poem you read perhaps or an old one from as far back as your schooldays? Please email what you think.
